Museum
Most of the former post belongs to the University of Utah, which uses many of its buildings, and the Utah Military Museum at Historic Fort Douglas fills two former barracks. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975.
The nearest railroad in service today is a line owned by a smaller railroad, about 4 miles away.
