VIENNA ARSENAL
The government arsenal in Vienna was one of the main makers of the Lorenz rifle, reaching 1,000 rifles a day in 1862. The Union imported 226,924 Lorenz rifles and Caleb Huse bought 100,000 for the Confederacy, making it the second most used foreign rifle of the war after the Enfield.

The complex survives largely in its original form and holds the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum. A small part is still an army barracks.
