• GET /api/search?q=liberty&limit=20 full text search
• GET /api/person/<slug> a person, their ties and their quotations
• GET /api/library?state=sc&q=Conroy paginated library records, with provider identifiers and source links
• GET /api/people?state=sc&standing=native people, filterable by state and standing
• GET /api/quote/<id> a single record

Use state=nc or state=sc on people, search and random endpoints. Omit it for both Carolinas. A person has one profile and may have multiple state connections; states gives standing within each state.

A quotation record separates attestation, where the words occurred, from provenance, how this index came to hold them. A person record carries standing and the affiliations it was derived from.
